Amboseli is accessible by road from Nairobi, a journey of approximately 4 hours, or by air with daily scheduled flights to the Amboseli airstrip from Nairobi.
Getting Around
Within the park, travel is typically conducted in safari vehicles. Many visitors choose guided tours for their expertise and convenience, though self-drive is also an option with a suitable vehicle.
Visas
Following Kenya's visa policy update, most foreign visitors must obtain an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) prior to travel, with certain countries exempted. The eTA process is straightforward, requiring an application at least 3 days in advance of travel, with a fee of 34.09 USD.
