After a 40-minute flight from Nairobi, you will be transferred to the resort which is on Nyali Road in Nyali, 10 kilometres north of Mombasa town (20 kilometres from the airport).

The Moi international airport in Mombasa is serviced daily by Kenya Airways, Fly540, Mombasa Air and Air Kenya from Wilson Airport  in Nairobi, Malindi Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, as well as many international charters.

Voyager Beach Resort

Voyager is certainly a very beautiful place. Three pools, 5 blocks of rooms and lots of garden area for just relaxing with a good book. The food is superb with lots of choice on offer. But the jewels in the crown are the staff. Nothing too much trouble, friendly, happy and knowledgeable.   I have to specifically mention Samuel the pool attendant at the sports pool who is fabulous with the kids, gracious and thoughtful, hard working and a nice chap. Why he doesn't have a contract is beyond me!  Also, we met a lovely young trainee called Ibrahim. He was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we wanted. Checking back with us that we were happy.  A polite, hard working and pleasant young man who has clearly listened to his mentor. The place is a serene place with beautiful views and people. By far the Swahili resort was my favorite.

The also have beautiful swimming pool which I spent most of my time on and my favorite was the fun swimming pool because it creates atmosphere for socializing and getting to know your neighbors. My second best was the relaxing pool. Great view then followed by the sports Pool great for swim work outs and laps.

The evening shows were nice.

The hospitality was top notch.

This is definitely paradise, and I mean it  from the moment you get to the gate that the embarkation begins.
This is a ship, and so does everything inside it resemble it.
The staff are super nice,welcoming, and friendly. we had a very good time here.
The food is amazing and surprisingly affordable.
Their services are topnotch and out of this world.
I got to enjoy the view of the ocean. It's scenic and beautiful.  The reef, the far away ferries and boats, the breeze and white sandy beaches, and more...
Voyager is definitely a go-to place. It has  several amenities, a clinic, a salon, and a gift shop, among others.
It is family-friendly, good for events, and work/team building.
It's easily accessible and open to the public, too.
I'd definitely recommend and visit again.

The hotel was not far from the airport and it took less than ten minutes to be checked-in in my room, Mark you , we had arrived like 20 guests at the same time! My room was by the adult pool and the ocean. It was super quiet, and I had the best views throughout the day.  Their room service was swift, and I did not need to go to the restaurant for all meals. They had staff everywhere ready to serve you, I do not remember walking for 10 metres without running into a staff in the resort.
Dominic was very friendly by the pool and attentive to me and other guests. Mr 'dimples', Edgar and 'Mama Africa' made our evenings and I was always looking forward to the after dinner entertainment.
The fun pool had amazing team building games, and it was fun playing competitive guests like me😆. They had many kid-friendly games and activities as well meals, that's a big plus for me.

The place was so beautiful and lovely  ,with beach views and lounge areas to chill and relax, I was lost of choices on where to relax since I had so many beautiful options 😌.

Overall,  i had an amazing time !

My family and I arrived at the hotel and had booked 4 rooms. They assigned us to 2 of rooms that had very strong odor of paint. The rooms that we had assigned were next to each other because we were travelling with several children in our group and therefore needed to be close by. When this issue was brought up to the manager on duty, he was unwilling to switch us to rooms that were next to each other. He said that if we wanted to be in rooms next to each other, the only ones available were in a different building and we would need to pay an upgrade fee or his other suggestion was for us to call our travel agent and have them pay for the upgrade!!! To me this was quite an unbelievable way of resolving a problem which was clearly the responsibility of the hotel. The next morning I spoke to the Operations Manager Sammy and explained to him how unpleasant our check in experience was. He was very apologetic and assured us that he would do what it took to make things right. Within 20 minutes, Sammy had got rooms ready for us to move to and they were all in a newer building from the one we had spent the first night in. Throughout our stay, Sammy would come and check on us in the restaurant as we were dining to make sure that we were having a pleasant stay. I must say that Sammy knows how to resolve and follow up with his guests. Voyager is very lucky to have such an asset leading that team. I look forward to going back to the Voyager, thanks to Sammy's outstanding service recovery.

Sarova Whitesands hotel provides a scenic view of the lush beaches of Mombasa from a luxurious perspective. The price is rather hefty, but I believe its worth it. Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa Mombasa is located off Malindi road, Mombasa county, Mombasa, Kenya. The rooms are very modern, very fine, I enjoyed my moments within the rooms although my room was not Sea-facing. The place is generally good, the atmosphere, the ambience and all that. However services at the reception was kind of robotic. Being asked whether am checking in daily by the same people I've been interacting with at the reception didn't show that costumer connection. But I understand they have to interact with so many guests so keeping all that number in mind might be a challenge. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The staff is highly skilled in customer care, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Managerial presence is also felt everywhere in the hotel. The only drawback I encountered was the repetitive and limited variety dinner menu. It's essentially the same menu every other day. Additionally, it would be nice if the gardeners smile, greet guests and not work with bare feet.

Loved everything about Whitesands.
We had a couples retreat and hoped this location will provide that extra edge and indeed it did. Our best location at Whitesands was at the Lido beach lounge. Service was amazing

a really nice and well organized hotel. Very friendly and professional staff who spare no effort to make the guest happy. Spacious, clean rooms with well-functioning air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. Various restaurants with a great selection and fine food. Very nice hotel complex on the beach with lots of palm trees and walkways through the complex. A big thank you to all the staff who made our stay a wonderful experience. The one thing that they need to work on, check-in & treatment towards Africans. I waited close to six hours to get a room & that was after I complained. Every single Caucasian person I arrived with was roomed & I was left waiting. There was a newly married man who came complaining after two hours, while I had waited for four hours, they were given room, & I had to wait another hour & half after they were roomed. My room was near some fish pond, you hear the frogs wailing (for lack of better word) at night. Never rested
Then nobody could remember where my passport was. All inclusive is not all inclusive, you have to pay for some of the drinks, food choice if not eating at the pavilion & those in room so be aware of that. Have some money to pay to enjoy yourself. Some waiters looks at you as poor, you order a drink they repeat several times you have to pay even after you acknowledge.
Otherwise, the food at the pavilion was great; cleanliness top notch; customer service good.
