Safety & Vaccinations

Getting There

Kibo Hut is accessed via the Marangu Route, starting from the Marangu Gate. The nearest major airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a journey to the gate.

Getting Around

Movement is on foot as part of the trekking expedition. Porters and guides are essential for navigating to and from Kibo Hut.

Visas

Visitors to Tanzania, including those climbing Kilimanjaro, must obtain a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) prior to arrival. The application process involves online submission with a fee.
