Zanzibar Stone Town is a fascinating place to visit. It is the old part of Zanzibar City, the main city of Zanzibar, an island off the coast of Tanzania. It was the former capital of the Zanzibar Sultanate and a center of trade for spices and slaves in the 19th century. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its unique architecture and culture that reflects a mix of influences from Africa, Arabia, India, and Europe.  

Some of the attractions in Zanzibar Stone Town are the **Old Fort**, built by the Arabs on the site of a Portuguese church; the **House of Wonders**, a palace built by Sultan Barghash with many innovations; the **Old Dispensary**, a beautiful building with carved balconies and stained glass windows; the **Anglican Cathedral**, built on the site of the last slave market; and the **Forodhani Gardens**, a waterfront park with local food stalls and a night market.  

Stone Town is also known for its narrow alleys, coral stone houses, carved wooden doors, and barazas. The town has a vibrant atmosphere with shops, bazaars, mosques, and people whizzing around on bicycles and motorbikes. It is a place where you can experience the rich history and culture of Zanzibar and enjoy its exotic charm and sample its delicious cuisine, which blends African, Indian and Arabic flavours and spices.
