From June to October, Olakira Migration Camp resides in the northern Serengeti in the mara region, providing a front-row seat to witness the awe-inspiring Mara River crossings of wildebeests. With the changing seasons, the camp moves to the southern Serengeti from November to March, offering a unique opportunity to observe the herds during their periods of rest, grazing, and calving. This camp offers an authentic safari experience with communal dining and a natural atmosphere in canvas tents. Guests are equipped with 'walkie-talkies' for safety and convenience. Meals include continental and English-style breakfasts, light lunches, and 3-course dinners with an African touch, complemented by lantern-lit evenings.

Getting There



There are nine tents at Olakira Migration Camp, including one with two bedrooms ideally suited to families. The tents have king-sized beds (twins are also available) and en suite bathrooms with flushing toilets and solar-heated hot water showers. Our tents have been perfectly designed for stargazing; a portion of the tent boasts a 270°-view from beneath a net, offering you the best of the outdoors while remaining indoors. At night, roll your bed into the meshed area to spend the night with the stars glittering above while dreaming about the day’s adventures. It truly is an experience you don’t want to miss.
