Before the establishment of Namiri Plains, these grasslands were off-limits for two decades to foster the recovery of the cheetah population. With no other camps nearby – requiring over an hour's drive to reach – guests have the privilege of having the expansive plains all to themselves. When not embarking on captivating bush expeditions to spot lions and other magnificent big cats or observing the vast wildebeest herds, visitors can unwind by the pool, partake in a spa massage, explore the library and information center, or simply relax on their private deck while taking in the awe-inspiring views. While exploring the grasslands near Namiri Plains, fortunate individuals may have the opportunity to encounter one of the most stunning and distinctive wildcats, Manja, the melanistic serval, who is a renowned Serengeti figure and has achieved global recognition through channels such as BBC Earth and The Discovery Channel.

All the food at the camp is prepared on-site, with a selection that includes freshly baked bread, biscuits, and muffins. Guests can enjoy a choice of a continental buffet or a full English breakfast, while lunch is a light buffet featuring salads and fresh vegetables. For those who wish to extend their game drive into the day, the camp offers the option to pack a bush picnic lunch. In the evening, a delectable three-course dinner is served either in the dining tent or beneath the stars. The camp is well-equipped to accommodate various dietary preferences, so guests are encouraged to communicate any specific dietary requirements in advance of their arrival.

We offer ten generously sized and stylish tented suites, including a family option, each with an enchanting Serengeti plains view. Following our 2019 refurbishment, our tents have been upgraded to provide more space, with sliding doors spanning the room's width that open onto an expanded viewing deck. The walls are constructed from calcrete, a sedimentary rock formed from the volcanic ashes of Ngorongoro, helping to maintain a comfortable temperature. The interiors are elegantly adorned with natural materials and earthy hues. Every bathroom affords a panoramic view of the plains, and on your private deck, you'll find a freestanding resin tub for a relaxing al fresco bubble bath, complete with a chilled glass of bubbly.
