About the Property
Experience Kwihala Camp's immersive wildlife encounters as you embark on thrilling game drives to observe Tanzania's largest elephant population and lions renowned for hunting giraffes, buffalo, and even elephants. Delve into the bush's smaller inhabitants on foot, honing your skills in identifying animal tracks and signs, while nocturnal adventures with a spotlight reveal bush babies and hyenas. Conclude your day by the campfire, sipping wine beneath the dazzling Milky Way, where you may hear the nearby Ikuka waterfall in the tranquil night air or even catch sight of a meteor shower in the pristine sky.
Food & Drink
The camp offers an array of freshly prepared meals, from delectable bread and cakes to refreshing salads and sorbets. Guests have the flexibility to extend their morning game drives and opt for a picnic breakfast in the wilderness or return to camp for a cooked brunch. Lunch is a light buffet, while dinner is a communal three-course affair. During the dry season, dinners are held in the sandy Mwagusi riverbed, occasionally graced by the presence of passing elephants. In the green months, dining takes place alongside the flowing river, and in the rainy season, meals are served undercover. For those with specific dietary requirements, advance notice is appreciated, and the camp is eager to accommodate their needs.
Rooms
