About the Property

Ngorongoro Lion's Paw Camp, named after the vibrant orange flower clusters of the native "Lion's Paw" grasses, presents a new and exceptional lodging choice along the renowned Ngorongoro Crater's rim. The camp's strategic location takes precedence, perched on the upper Eastern slope of the crater's inner escarpment. With breathtaking vistas and direct access to the thriving wildlife on the crater floor, the canvas retreat offers a unique experience. Despite its elevated misty altitude and Crater floor overlook, the camp remains shielded from the elements by a dense canopy of umbrella acacia trees that envelop the upper slope of the Crater's Eastern escarpment. At the heart of the camp lies a spacious canvas pavilion, serving as a communal hub for guests. Elevated above the guest tents, this main tent functions as an open-air bar, lounge, dining area, campfire spot, and sundowner meeting point, affording splendid views of each evening's sunset over the Crater's Western rim.
