Rooms: Very clean, comfortable, good AC (small expected noise when operating at night). I think that the mountain view rooms are worth the small extra$ they charged. My included breakfast was above expectations: they had some fresh fruits, tea/coffee/juice/milk, a soup, fried rice/noodles, saussage, breakfast pizza, bacon and an egg station! I was not hungry for lunch on both days.

Rooftop Restaurant: Speed was impressive on my day: got my main course 20 mins after ordering (curry + samosa)! Food was decent (good but not wow), but expensive per local standards. The view on the mountain + city was beautiful!

The staff was kind enough to grant us an amazing room upon our request. The amenities are new, the pool is heated and overlooks the crater. It is open until the sun goes down... Just pure bliss. I would recommend two nights in this lodge.

One of the most stunning views I have ever seen walking into the hotel! A beautifully decorated and newly built hotel however it fell short of expectations when it came to food and service. There was only one option to eat from at night the one night that we stayed there and the service was a bit slow- the staff seemed to lack some training for this standard of hotel. We also unfortunately couldn't take advantage of the pool as there were only 3 chairs and they were occupied, although it gives stunning views of the crater. Given those few points, it felt overpriced for what it is. Price for the view?

The best hotel I have stayed in my life! We spent our honeymoon here and it was the best decision of our trip.

The views are magnificent, the rooms and architecture are amazing, and the staff is another level. Jhon and Ignacio were so nice from the first moment we arrived. The rest of the staff even sang and danced for us when they brought dessert the first night.

If I could put more than 5 stars I would.

Such a fabulous hotel! The hospitality, food, and views are unmatched but what really put it over the top was listening to Berta sing every night at dinner. She was truly such an amazing addition and even sang our first dance song to make our experience that much more special. We will definitely be returning.

Stopped by with friends to have some dessert and explore the hotel. It’s very modern. Very clean. Unbelievable employees, especially the ones that work in the garden. They really took the time to educate us about all the different projects they have going on.

We started our 12 day trip in Tanzania with a stay at the beautiful Meliá Resort in Arusha. Our luggage was lost after several delays and a cancelled flight in Nairobi however the staff accommodated us and showed empathy during a frustrating time. After a long travel day we arrived around 2am and the staff washed our clothes for us/delivered them by 7am to accommodate us the best they could. The staff was attentive and the room/room service was incredible—even at 2am. we definitely recommend this resort! Thanks Meliá Team!

My husband and I stayed here while traveling through Tanzania with a group of friends. The room service was yummy, beds comfy, views amazing and the restaurant staff downstairs was so kind and helpful. The grounds are lovely and it’s well kept. A great and comfy stay before and after our safari through the Serengeti.

We stayed there for 2 nights and we really really enjoyed staying at serval wildlife, everything was just magical. It was really a very good experience. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Honestly I really can’t thank you guys enough for making this experience for me and specifically for my husband who had never been to Africa before, an amazing and memorable experience. If I could give the Melia Serengeti 10 stars, I would. My husband and I stayed here as part of our safari honeymoon and it was incredible. What a magnificent place, with truly wonderful people. Nathaniel, Moses, James and Teddy were all incredible and made us feel so welcomed. The quality of service here, from the views, the rooms, and the food was all exquisite. Definitely book to stay here in the Serengeti! 5 star service all around.

My wife and I did a 5 day safari as part of our honeymoon, and while most places we stayed were nice the Meliá stands out as far and away the nicest.

The team here knew it was our honeymoon and set out a special candle lit dinner for us upon our arrival. The food was 5 stars, comparable to a Michelin guide tasting menu at home in california.

The best part were the people - Moses, James, Nathanial and Teddy, were incredible. They took care of everything, and anytime we needed something they just magically showed up with it two seconds later. Absolutely worth it!

The hotel and setting are stunning! As you walk into reception you are greeted with a breathtaking panoramic vista of the Serengeti below. Every corner of the property is just as beautiful. There is not an area - from the infinity pool below reception to the scattered seating areas - that are not Instagrammable. The rooms are beautifully appointed too and very comfortable.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive - although the limited English of some of the waiting staff did lead to some confusing conversations and odd things arriving at the table.

If I was pushed to give some constructive criticism it would be the odd choice of food service, what they call "buffet family style" at the table. This means a full selection of food (and the food is great ) as you might get at a buffet, is brought to the table. I'm sure this is done to present a more premium offer than a regular buffet but I'm not a fan. It ends up being wasteful, as a number of items will not appeal to anyone. At the same time popular items run out quickly. The biggest downside, especially for a safari hotel, is the time it takes to serve. A regular buffet makes a lot more sense when you only have a short time before rushing out on a game drive

This is an amazingly gorgeous hotel, the rooms are stunning , reception, pool and bar area as well! The views of the Serengeti are unbeatable . We saw Buffalo and monkeys pass right by. They feed you and feed you every single meal

We just had the best experience of an accommodation here in the lodge. Very friendly staff, in an awsomely decorated lodge, which reflects the culture of africa perfectly with a balanced mix with modernity. The buildings are so nice that you never miss anything of your modern luxury life, but still give you the expected feeling that you are in the wilderness of Africa.
The high prices of accomodation and the catering are totally worth it.

Service is fantastic. Serengeti is massive so depending on the time of the year the drive to the animals can be far. However being the premier lodge in the park you get the best guides. Our guide got us just a few meters from both the cheetah and Lions!

We recently had a wonderful stay with our family (14 people). The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious with many options for different preferences (important to myself as a vegetarian) and the staff were exceptional. Particular thanks to Deo and Peter for their outstanding service and care. They went above and beyond everyday to make both us and our children feel at home. We also had a wonderful time on our game drives with our driver Dickson, who was informative, kind and thoughtful. Absolutely hope to return one day.

I had a great time with my kids at this hotel I really can't wait to go back. The staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly, the view of the animals and the quite surroundings it was very appealing. It is a must go place.

Exemplary - location is incredible, the view over the watering hole which you can see from the pool, terrace and some rooms is breathtaking. There are a myriad of little critters that pop up around the hotel - it is, after all, in the middle of the Serengeti - and we loved spotting the cute little hyraxes running around. We only spotted one elephant at the watering hole, plus a few baboons and some deer - but we’d heard that most of the other animals had started their migration paths already - oh well! The rooms are lush and comfortable, though due to the nature of most people’s travels here, you probably won’t spend much time inside them. That said, the hotel makes the time you do spend at the hotel  amazing - service is friendly and warm. The food is incredible too, at both the terrace restaurant (which serves more Western-style dishes) or at Boma (which serves traditional Maasai dishes - try the octopus, it was superlative!).  The hotel reception team will help plan your meals so you can try everything, and I also have to say that their on-the-go lunches are head and shoulders above anyone else’s - there is a good choice of salads, sandwiches and sweets to pick from; and it made game drive lunches that much better. Then, there isn’t much better than coming back from a game drive and relaxing in the afternoon sun with a cocktail. The only downside is that our stay was much  shorter than we’d have liked! Cost wise - obviously a bit of a splurge, even in low-/mid-season, but if it’s within your budget, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you to the whole team for making everything so memorable.

Some really nice suites, standard rooms also very comfortable. Great food at the variety of restaurants. Be sure to catch the cultural sharing from the Masai in the Boma, and a sunset drink at Majis.  The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable. I didn't personally try any of the activities provided by the lodge, but did talk to many other guests who were happy with them. A really outstanding place. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights there in family with a 1 year old child. We all enjoyed our stay and were well taken care of by our waiter Boniface all along. All the staff was lovely.

The location is amazing, with a view on a river with hippos.

The food was great and had a variety of choices.

The rooms were also very comfortable, clean and well designed. They had a baby cot and a baby chair which was perfect.

Overall, we all loved it, including the baby.

Me and my partner spent 2 days and 2 nights at Ashnil Mara Camp. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Everyone we interacted with was so kind. They even knew us by name when they were greeting us. I was really touched by how personable everyone was.

The food was excellent. Very tasty and fresh. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable hours. This was great for us and our schedule as we went on game drives throughout the day.

Our main waiter that we interacted with, Vincent, was soooo kind. We were so lucky to meet him.

The staff even gave us a celebratory song and dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Even decorating our tent to celebrate the occasion.

Speaking of tents, they were so comfortable. Our tents were house kept diligently throughout our stay. Staying in the midst of wildlife was so amazing and we felt safe. Our tent overlooked the Mara River where we were able to see hippos!

I can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10.

An Amazing place to stay! My tent was Beautiful! Looking out over the Mara River! Heard & saw the Hippos! Had wildlife right outside my tent! What more can you ask for! Staff was friendly & helpful. You won't be able to find a better place in nairobi! This is outstanding! Everything they do here is top of the line and extraordinary. Probably the greatest asset are the people themselves. Each person that I came in contact with, from service helpers to management - went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and that my stay was exceptional. If you go somewhere else, you've created your own downgrade!

I've always wanted to visit this establishment and the past weekend I got to attend their Sunday brunch. I loved every minute of the experience from the intensely beautiful buildings to the well manicured lawn and the wonderful staff members. Definitely my favourite hotel experience in Nairobi.

What a wonderful experience during our stay at Kankari lodge. Loved the staff each of whom are extremely courteous and pleasant. Rooms are clean and amenities excellent. But it was the 5 meal course dinner that blew us away. Salad is fresh from the garden and bread baked in house. Kudos to Luthu, the chef and his team for one of our most memorable culinary experiences.

Our stay at this brand-new hotel with a pool during our safari was a delightful surprise. The modern amenities and chic design created a comfortable oasis in the heart of our adventure.

The addition of a refreshing pool was a welcome luxury after a day of exploration. The hotel's attention to detail, from the well-appointed rooms to the inviting common areas, showcased a commitment to guest satisfaction. The staff was super friendly and even turned on the fireplace just for us when we hat Dinner.

Being among the first guests to experience this new gem added a special touch to our safari journey. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a blend of contemporary comfort and a touch of luxury amidst the excitement of a safari adventure.

Beautiful lodge to stay at after a long day of safari. Staff were wonderful and welcoming, got us checked in quickly and able to have a swim in the gorgeous pool before dinner. Food was tasty, good variety and mix of courses/buffet meal. Rooms are huge, well equipped with toiletries and hair dryer and wardrobe space. Massive bed and slept really well. Breakfast had a good selection and check out was simple. Would highly recommend this place :)

Overall, I would stay here again. The food was really good and it had a great view from our porch and dining balcony. The staff was very nice and accomdating. We stayed in Room #1 or the "swala" room. Great view, closest to dining room and pool.  However, the other guests have to walk past all your windows to get to their rooms. So, keeping your windows open since there is no ac was awkward. Also, if you happen to have a group of very loud people, like we did, at the pool, then it can get loud. Lovely place and the problems we had would not keep us from staying again.

A hidden gem!  Lovely room and bathroom with an outside lounge.  Beautiful pool!  Such attention to detail,  they placed flower petals throughout the room.  Only wish they had wifi that reached to the rooms, only available in the main bldg, and wished the rooms had some sort of air conditioning or fan. Thank goodness I travel with a portable fan for situations like this. Other than that it was perfect!

We had a good stay, enjoying the friendly and attentive staff.
The buffet was always having a variety of choices. Everything was freshly made and there was something for everyone.
Rooms were clean and problems attended to promptly.
Other facilities and areas are kept clean and well.
Some areas show that the lodge has been around for a while.
A good place to stay and good value for the money.

Only point of complaint would be the very noisy generator that is really disturbing in the serene environment. It also seems a waste of resources to  use a Diesel generator as the only source for electricity and to use the same to heat water. Solar systems for both electricity and warm water would be a mayor step to responsible management of resources!

The lodge accommodates guests in 60 rooms, including 2 inter-connecting rooms accessible for wheelchair users. Each room is designed for comfort and privacy, offering stunning views of the landscape and waterhole, ensuring a memorable stay amidst nature.
