Best hotel in Moshi for Americans! Outstanding rooftop bar and restaurant,  with best views of any building in the city.  This would be a 500-1000 a night hotel in any us city.  Exceptional staff, very clean rooms. Loved the balcony.

Nice hotel, silent and with one of the greatest staffs. Very nice anf professional staff they got, Anna and Lilian were very helpful. The men in charge of the Roof top bar are the best. Super Clean and considerate

Rooms: Very clean, comfortable, good AC (small expected noise when operating at night). I think that the mountain view rooms are worth the small extra$ they charged. My included breakfast was above expectations: they had some fresh fruits, tea/coffee/juice/milk, a soup, fried rice/noodles, saussage, breakfast pizza, bacon and an egg station! I was not hungry for lunch on both days.

Rooftop Restaurant: Speed was impressive on my day: got my main course 20 mins after ordering (curry + samosa)! Food was decent (good but not wow), but expensive per local standards. The view on the mountain + city was beautiful!

Walked in for dinner. Their rooftop bar has a great view of the Kilimanjaro mountain, on a good day that's not cloudy and very great cocktails.

Absolutely stunning property with top-notch service and excellent dining.  Of course, the giraffes are the main attraction, but I felt compelled to write a review based on the amazing experience the staff delivered.  We especially wanted to thank Vincent for going above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable.

My fiance and I had an amazing experience at the Giraffe Manor. We actually got engaged there and they were really helpful with arranging the proposal that will stay in our memories forever.Would highly recommend to anyone. Joseph was primarily taking care of us during our stay and he went above and beyond to make it really special for us . He and the staff provided exception service to us. Will come back in the future to celebrate wedding anniversaries and other special celebrations.

Everything about this place is absolutely perfect. The staff are amazing!!!! We had Katerina and Etrr looking after us as well as Tony the manager. They were absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome and taken care of.  Our driver Martin was excellent as well. My boyfriend and I got engaged and it was a complete surprise, which the staff helped him arrange. We even got to have Ed the giraffe present when he popped the question. Thank you Ed 😘 We stayed in the Jock room which was beautiful, we had two giraffes come to the window each morning. The food is also unreal. We didn't have one single thing that didn't taste exceptional. The pool and spa are beautiful too. The Giraffes are incredible!!!! My fiance and I love to travel and this has been the best service and kindness we have received in all our travels.   ❤️

We stayed 1 night at the historic manor (Betty room) and it was an incredible experience!

* the staff is very friendly, polite and always willing to help. They take a ton of pictures of you and the giraffes and they are happy to help with any type of pic so if you have a preference just show it to them
* the manor itself is absolutely gorgeous and their attention to details is incredible. There are plenty of details like paintings with giraffes, house slippers with giraffe, the dish plates have a giraffe pattern theme, etc.
* the food is delicious. They serve a 3 course lunch, afternoon tea with snacks, a 3 course dinner and breakfast.

One thing they could improve: provide more details about the giraffes. They don’t provide any information about them unfortunately.

A few tips to make your stay memorable:

* Be mindful when choosing your room because some provide better view than others. The Betty room has a corner balcony providing view on 2 sides which is better in my opinion. And we got to feed giraffes both from our bedroom window and from the balcony.
* you have to book waaaaay in advance for the best rooms. We booked 1year and a half in advance, but totally worth the wait!
* if you wish to have breakfast with the giraffes (incredible!!!!), you have to book a room at the historic manor. The garden manor only grants access to the afternoon tea with the giraffes

Pricey, yes. Worth it? I think so. A beautiful, truly unforgettable experience. Not only are the giraffes incredible, but the manor is beautiful, the food amazing (they catered to my vegetarian diet which I really appreciated! Thank you!) and the staff was so kind.

Divine, splendid, breathtaking lodge over the Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge is huge and all the rooms offer an amazing view over the crater. The staff was kind enough to grant us an amazing room upon our request. The amenities are new, the pool is heated and overlooks the crater. It is open until the sun goes down... Just pure bliss. I would recommend two nights in this lodge.

One of the most stunning views I have ever seen walking into the hotel! A beautifully decorated and newly built hotel however it fell short of expectations when it came to food and service. There was only one option to eat from at night the one night that we stayed there and the service was a bit slow- the staff seemed to lack some training for this standard of hotel. We also unfortunately couldn't take advantage of the pool as there were only 3 chairs and they were occupied, although it gives stunning views of the crater. Given those few points, it felt overpriced for what it is. Price for the view?

The best hotel I have stayed in my life! We spent our honeymoon here and it was the best decision of our trip.

The views are magnificent, the rooms and architecture are amazing, and the staff is another level. Jhon and Ignacio were so nice from the first moment we arrived. The rest of the staff even sang and danced for us when they brought dessert the first night.

If I could put more than 5 stars I would.

Such a fabulous hotel! The hospitality, food, and views are unmatched but what really put it over the top was listening to Berta sing every night at dinner. She was truly such an amazing addition and even sang our first dance song to make our experience that much more special. We will definitely be returning.

Stopped by with friends to have some dessert and explore the hotel. It’s very modern. Very clean. Unbelievable employees, especially the ones that work in the garden. They really took the time to educate us about all the different projects they have going on.

We started our 12 day trip in Tanzania with a stay at the beautiful Meliá Resort in Arusha. Our luggage was lost after several delays and a cancelled flight in Nairobi however the staff accommodated us and showed empathy during a frustrating time. After a long travel day we arrived around 2am and the staff washed our clothes for us/delivered them by 7am to accommodate us the best they could. The staff was attentive and the room/room service was incredible—even at 2am. we definitely recommend this resort! Thanks Meliá Team!

My husband and I stayed here while traveling through Tanzania with a group of friends. The room service was yummy, beds comfy, views amazing and the restaurant staff downstairs was so kind and helpful. The grounds are lovely and it’s well kept. A great and comfy stay before and after our safari through the Serengeti.

Modern room inspired by local Tanzanian tribes and painted in the seductive colors of the local coffee beans. Chill out in a luxury bedroom with a king-size bed (or two twin beds), an 86-inch TV, AC, and a balcony with views over the city of Arusha.

Perfect Safari beginning especially after a long flight. Rooms are clean, food amazing, views of the Meru mountains are wild and spectacular from the balcony of the rooms. You gotta upgrade for bigger rooms.

Very pricey but this place is pure magic.  Simon took amazing care of me along with Blair who is an absolute professional at his job, he made my time perfect. The Maasai were all so friendly and made me feel at home. I had Elephant tea which was amazing

We stayed there for 2 nights and we really really enjoyed staying at serval wildlife, everything was just magical. It was really a very good experience. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Honestly I really can’t thank you guys enough for making this experience for me and specifically for my husband who had never been to Africa before, an amazing and memorable experience. If I could give the Melia Serengeti 10 stars, I would. My husband and I stayed here as part of our safari honeymoon and it was incredible. What a magnificent place, with truly wonderful people. Nathaniel, Moses, James and Teddy were all incredible and made us feel so welcomed. The quality of service here, from the views, the rooms, and the food was all exquisite. Definitely book to stay here in the Serengeti! 5 star service all around.

My wife and I did a 5 day safari as part of our honeymoon, and while most places we stayed were nice the Meliá stands out as far and away the nicest.

The team here knew it was our honeymoon and set out a special candle lit dinner for us upon our arrival. The food was 5 stars, comparable to a Michelin guide tasting menu at home in california.

The best part were the people - Moses, James, Nathanial and Teddy, were incredible. They took care of everything, and anytime we needed something they just magically showed up with it two seconds later. Absolutely worth it!

The hotel and setting are stunning! As you walk into reception you are greeted with a breathtaking panoramic vista of the Serengeti below. Every corner of the property is just as beautiful. There is not an area - from the infinity pool below reception to the scattered seating areas - that are not Instagrammable. The rooms are beautifully appointed too and very comfortable.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive - although the limited English of some of the waiting staff did lead to some confusing conversations and odd things arriving at the table.

If I was pushed to give some constructive criticism it would be the odd choice of food service, what they call "buffet family style" at the table. This means a full selection of food (and the food is great ) as you might get at a buffet, is brought to the table. I'm sure this is done to present a more premium offer than a regular buffet but I'm not a fan. It ends up being wasteful, as a number of items will not appeal to anyone. At the same time popular items run out quickly. The biggest downside, especially for a safari hotel, is the time it takes to serve. A regular buffet makes a lot more sense when you only have a short time before rushing out on a game drive

This is an amazingly gorgeous hotel, the rooms are stunning , reception, pool and bar area as well! The views of the Serengeti are unbeatable . We saw Buffalo and monkeys pass right by. They feed you and feed you every single meal

We just had the best experience of an accommodation here in the lodge. Very friendly staff, in an awsomely decorated lodge, which reflects the culture of africa perfectly with a balanced mix with modernity. The buildings are so nice that you never miss anything of your modern luxury life, but still give you the expected feeling that you are in the wilderness of Africa.
The high prices of accomodation and the catering are totally worth it.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti

Service is fantastic. Serengeti is massive so depending on the time of the year the drive to the animals can be far. However being the premier lodge in the park you get the best guides. Our guide got us just a few meters from both the cheetah and Lions!

We recently had a wonderful stay with our family (14 people). The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious with many options for different preferences (important to myself as a vegetarian) and the staff were exceptional. Particular thanks to Deo and Peter for their outstanding service and care. They went above and beyond everyday to make both us and our children feel at home. We also had a wonderful time on our game drives with our driver Dickson, who was informative, kind and thoughtful. Absolutely hope to return one day.

I had a great time with my kids at this hotel I really can't wait to go back. The staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly, the view of the animals and the quite surroundings it was very appealing. It is a must go place.

Exemplary - location is incredible, the view over the watering hole which you can see from the pool, terrace and some rooms is breathtaking. There are a myriad of little critters that pop up around the hotel - it is, after all, in the middle of the Serengeti - and we loved spotting the cute little hyraxes running around. We only spotted one elephant at the watering hole, plus a few baboons and some deer - but we’d heard that most of the other animals had started their migration paths already - oh well! The rooms are lush and comfortable, though due to the nature of most people’s travels here, you probably won’t spend much time inside them. That said, the hotel makes the time you do spend at the hotel  amazing - service is friendly and warm. The food is incredible too, at both the terrace restaurant (which serves more Western-style dishes) or at Boma (which serves traditional Maasai dishes - try the octopus, it was superlative!).  The hotel reception team will help plan your meals so you can try everything, and I also have to say that their on-the-go lunches are head and shoulders above anyone else’s - there is a good choice of salads, sandwiches and sweets to pick from; and it made game drive lunches that much better. Then, there isn’t much better than coming back from a game drive and relaxing in the afternoon sun with a cocktail. The only downside is that our stay was much  shorter than we’d have liked! Cost wise - obviously a bit of a splurge, even in low-/mid-season, but if it’s within your budget, I wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you to the whole team for making everything so memorable.

Some really nice suites, standard rooms also very comfortable. Great food at the variety of restaurants. Be sure to catch the cultural sharing from the Masai in the Boma, and a sunset drink at Majis.  The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable. I didn't personally try any of the activities provided by the lodge, but did talk to many other guests who were happy with them. A really outstanding place. Highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights there in family with a 1 year old child. We all enjoyed our stay and were well taken care of by our waiter Boniface all along. All the staff was lovely.

The location is amazing, with a view on a river with hippos.

The food was great and had a variety of choices.

The rooms were also very comfortable, clean and well designed. They had a baby cot and a baby chair which was perfect.

Overall, we all loved it, including the baby.

Me and my partner spent 2 days and 2 nights at Ashnil Mara Camp. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Everyone we interacted with was so kind. They even knew us by name when they were greeting us. I was really touched by how personable everyone was.

The food was excellent. Very tasty and fresh. They had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable hours. This was great for us and our schedule as we went on game drives throughout the day.

Our main waiter that we interacted with, Vincent, was soooo kind. We were so lucky to meet him.

The staff even gave us a celebratory song and dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Even decorating our tent to celebrate the occasion.

Speaking of tents, they were so comfortable. Our tents were house kept diligently throughout our stay. Staying in the midst of wildlife was so amazing and we felt safe. Our tent overlooked the Mara River where we were able to see hippos!

I can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10.

You won't be able to find a better place in nairobi! This is outstanding! Everything they do here is top of the line and extraordinary. Probably the greatest asset are the people themselves. Each person that I came in contact with, from service helpers to management - went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and that my stay was exceptional. If you go somewhere else, you've created your own downgrade!

I've always wanted to visit this establishment and the past weekend I got to attend their Sunday brunch. I loved every minute of the experience from the intensely beautiful buildings to the well manicured lawn and the wonderful staff members. Definitely my favourite hotel experience in Nairobi.

What a wonderful experience during our stay at Kankari lodge. Loved the staff each of whom are extremely courteous and pleasant. Rooms are clean and amenities excellent. But it was the 5 meal course dinner that blew us away. Salad is fresh from the garden and bread baked in house. Kudos to Luthu, the chef and his team for one of our most memorable culinary experiences.

Our stay at this brand-new hotel with a pool during our safari was a delightful surprise. The modern amenities and chic design created a comfortable oasis in the heart of our adventure.

The addition of a refreshing pool was a welcome luxury after a day of exploration. The hotel's attention to detail, from the well-appointed rooms to the inviting common areas, showcased a commitment to guest satisfaction. The staff was super friendly and even turned on the fireplace just for us when we hat Dinner.

Being among the first guests to experience this new gem added a special touch to our safari journey. I highly recommend this hotel for those seeking a blend of contemporary comfort and a touch of luxury amidst the excitement of a safari adventure.

Beautiful lodge to stay at after a long day of safari. Staff were wonderful and welcoming, got us checked in quickly and able to have a swim in the gorgeous pool before dinner. Food was tasty, good variety and mix of courses/buffet meal. Rooms are huge, well equipped with toiletries and hair dryer and wardrobe space. Massive bed and slept really well. Breakfast had a good selection and check out was simple. Would highly recommend this place :)

Overall, I would stay here again. The food was really good and it had a great view from our porch and dining balcony. The staff was very nice and accomdating. We stayed in Room #1 or the "swala" room. Great view, closest to dining room and pool.  However, the other guests have to walk past all your windows to get to their rooms. So, keeping your windows open since there is no ac was awkward. Also, if you happen to have a group of very loud people, like we did, at the pool, then it can get loud. Lovely place and the problems we had would not keep us from staying again.

A hidden gem!  Lovely room and bathroom with an outside lounge.  Beautiful pool!  Such attention to detail,  they placed flower petals throughout the room.  Only wish they had wifi that reached to the rooms, only available in the main bldg, and wished the rooms had some sort of air conditioning or fan. Thank goodness I travel with a portable fan for situations like this. Other than that it was perfect!

Kankari Lodge provides intimate accommodation options with eight standard rooms housed in four double cottages and four luxury tents, all en-suite. Whether opting for a room or a tent, guests can enjoy amenities such as twin or queen beds, a private verandah, a writing desk, and a dressing area, with the possibility to request a triple room. Samburu Sopa Lodge

One of the top lodges in Samburu.
We had a good stay, enjoying the friendly and attentive staff.
The buffet was always having a variety of choices. Everything was freshly made and there was something for everyone.
Rooms were clean and problems attended to promptly.
Other facilities and areas are kept clean and well.
Some areas show that the lodge has been around for a while.
A good place to stay and good value for the money.

Only point of complaint would be the very noisy generator that is really disturbing in the serene environment. It also seems a waste of resources to  use a Diesel generator as the only source for electricity and to use the same to heat water. Solar systems for both electricity and warm water would be a mayor step to responsible management of resources!

There is a new road to get there that it’s really good and well signaled. The food is delicious and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. The place is beautiful, near the entrance we saw some grevy zebras that where not so easy to spot in general in the park and a really big group of reticulares giraffes. Also, from the balcony of the room we saw some dikdik really near.

Hot, nice , large clean cottages. Loved the accommodation and set up. Food portions and variety was wanting.

Too difficult to access from main road. Absolutely no directional signage. Horrendously rough roads. Architecture is unique and loveky. Clean, well maintained rooms. Good food, buffet style with lots of selection. Nice pool. Overall well maintIned, comfotable and quiet.

Animals near the rooms, Big rooms, good food, no wifi nor TV on the rooms, nice place near the park of Samburu. Relates to the park we saw lions, cheetah, leopard, elephants and the minor just in one day

Loved everything about our stay in Kilindi. The food is delicious and there is a lot of choice of different dishes. The setting and design of the villas is gorgeous, with a lot of privacy and surrounded by plants and flowers. Special thanks to Jacob, who was extremely friendly, helpful and professional.

Wow how to put our stay into words?! From start to finish our stay at Kilindi was incredible. The villas are beautiful, private and very well kept. We feel so relaxed after our 5 nights in our villa - we loved having our breakfast there each morning and watching the sunset from the pools in the evening. The main pool was great too and we loved relaxing and reading our books by it. The food was absolutely delicious - every single meal was great and we were constantly looking forward to discovering what our menu was for the evening. The seafood platter on the beach bbq was a huge highlight - what a setting and the best lobster we’ve ever eaten! To top it off, the staff are faultless and just a joy to be around. They are so attentive and friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Shout out to Saleh, our personal butler, for making our trip and keeping us extremely well fed and watered! The villa was unbelievable. It was everything and more.
The staff was so pleasant and helpful.
Our butler, Bariki, and our housekeeper Gaston, kept us in ultimate comfort.

Serengeti Migration Camp

We loved our stay at the Elewana Migration Camp!  The staff were so attentive and the food absolutely incredible.  Our kids had the best time.  The camp is a must stay if you visit Tanzania. Highly recommended!!!

The Migration Camp has very motivated and friendly employees. They help you with everything. The view is amazing. The rooms are in a very high standard. I had a Great time at the Camp and was very sad to leave 😊

It‘was just Amazing! The Personal was the friendliest, the room looked amazing and the food was super delicious! Also our pets dumbo „tembo“ came to visite! An unforgetable experience!

Our stay at Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp was fantastic! This was our last "camp" on our safari so we were hoping for something really nice to end our trip, and it exceeded all expectations. The accommodations and service were impeccable, we were treated like royalty! We loved getting to know the staff and learn about them and their culture, they even taught us some Swahili! The scenery is so beautiful and the wildlife is amazing, a full hippo pond right in the backyard! We also loved their gift shop and got all of our souvenir gifts there. Do not miss staying here, you won't regret it!

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp

Absolutely amazing camp!! My boyfriend and I stayed in this camp for 2 nights in the end of September! The camp is located in a very beautiful area! The stuff of the camp is super friendly and helpful! Our tent was big, clean and it had everything we needed! The food was delicious! The main lounge is located on the top of the hill where you can meet an amazingly beautiful sunrise! Our butler’s name was Juma and he was super cool, friendly and he is just a great person to talk to! We absolutely loved this camp and hopefully will be able to come there again one day. Highly recommended! Thank you Pioneer camp and thank you Juma!!

Of the three camps, this one was my absolute favorite. The staff is a big part of my why for sure. The food was amazing, and even included a local flair at times. Our waiter, Titus went above and beyond every day and evening to make sure our needs were met, especially as he learned our likes. I had a massage by Anna while I was there and she was a true artist with deep tissue skills. My only regret is not getting massages from her on the daily! I was so sad to leave and will definitely remember the whole experience with fondness! Oh, one thing I also appreciated was how they prepared our morning breakfast table - each day they would place it somewhere with a new view. So very generous of them!

The management team and camp staff left an indelible mark on us. Every last detail was thought through, which made our experience absolutely unforgettable. Big shout out to Alex our guide, Marcel our housekeeper, and Juma our caretaker. Beyond breathtaking views and amazing animal sightings, we were cared for with love, and that makes for a priceless experience. It goes without saying that the tents were comfortable, sustainable, and so close to nature. Can't wait to go back.

This has definitively been my preferred experience in Tanzania. Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff (special thanks to Juma), wonderful location and felt totally disconnected and into another world for 2 days! The hotel is the perfect size to guaranty exclusivity. Highly recommended!

Our second camp on our African trip was Pioneer Camp by Elewana (11-05-23 through 11-08-23). The Pioneer Camp by Elewana was a little more rustic, but, fabulous. My husband's main goal on traveling to Tanzania was to experience the migration of the Wildebeest in Serengeti National Park. And let me say we were beyond overjoyed when we caught the first siting of the Wildebeest starting the migration and continuing on for three days through the park until they were gone. For three days we were able to experience thousands, and thousands, and thousands of Wildebeest as they went on the circular movement across the East Africa plains. It was totally beyond AMAZING!! It was mind boggling!! The accommodations were great, the service was wonderful, and the food was fabulous!! I would like to acknowledge the General Manager Rodgers, for his welcoming personality, and kindness, every time we returned to camp. Juma Dali our Butler Attendant for taking such great care of us each day. Taji, our server in the dining room, and Calvin our server, in the dining room, who spoiled us rotten. Thank you, Chef Joseph, who prepared the best yummy food each meal period. Last, but, not least our wonderful, knowledgeable, funny, oh so perfect timing Safari Guide Mokili Olesokoi. I thank Mokili from the bottom of my heart for driving us around all over Serengeti National Park each day in order for us to see the most AMAZING, animals in the world. The roads were tough driving and rough some days due to the rain. Mokilli was diligent, earnest, focused, and hard working and drove us safely and carefully around the park each day. I took my best photos in Serengeti National Park. WOW, WOW, WOW. what an exceptional trip to Tanzania. We are still pinching ourselves.

Absolutely magical. Not many places are better than they look in photos, especially when they look as amazing in photos as Treetops and every other Elewana lodge we stayed at. But these places are so spectacular, and come with a talented, knowledgeable, warm and friendly team of staff to match. The food was also absolutely incredible. We went for our belated honeymoon and they made us feel like we were getting married all over again, though I know it's just as wonderful whether you're celebrating a special occasion or not. We booked our trip directly through Elewana, and never felt the absence of a safari packager/tour operator- Elewana folks made it seamless, handing us off one lodge to another. Really cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely hotel, great  base for daytime and nighttime safaris an for getting to know the Masai people.   The staff was focused on service and did everything they could to make our stay fabulous

A little off the beaten path but if you can get here it’s a wonderful experience. The staff was fantastic led by Abraza our waiter and we had an excellent sunset and game drive with Ibrahim and Sabore.

Tarangire treetops it is the most amazing place to visit and stay in,just imagine sleeping in a tree house with sounds of nature surrounding you.

One of the most incredible hotels in the world. Having traveled extensively, this hotel still surprised me in so many ways: team was super warm (far warmer than any other 5* Tanzanian lodges we stayed in), services were pristine from food to laundry (despite the fact you are absolutely in the middle of nowhere), rooms were just as comfy as beautiful (they are over 20 years but has been kept up to date). Loved there. Will definitely come back.

Arusha Coffee Lodge is five minutes from Arusha Airport, with Kilimanjaro International Airport transfer times between 1 hour and 1.5 hours depending on the time of day.

An amazing place to kick off our honeymoon! Service was great, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent! The room was exactly as expected, clean & spacious with a wonderful porch for our morning coffee!

Warning: we got mugged on the road between coffee lodge and the Cultural Heritage Center. Two guys on a motorbike mugged us, cut off my girlfriends bag with a big knife, which left an open wound on her arm. Dealing with police and going to the hospital is no fun around here, believe me. Don't walk that road!
Apart from that, the coffee was really good, the food was amazing and the place is overall really lovely. Go there by taxi and come back with taxi. Stay safe fellow travelers🤞🤞🤞

Nice. Cozy. Very hospitable, jolly and friendly owner and manager. I enjoyed my stay. The food is superb! Prices are reasonable.

Service here was spectacular.  Check-in was easy they escorted us to our room while giving us a tour of the property. The rooms were actually suites with a living area,  bedroom and  bathroom.  The rooms have  a  lovely fireplace and also an outdoor deck with table an chairs.   Tha bathroom was large with a tub, shower twin sinks and all the amenities you could possibly want.  The staff never let you carry your own luggage and always had a smile and a kind word.

Elewana AfroChic Diani Beach

We had initially stayed at a different local resort which had disappointed us as it was our honeymoon. We moved to AfroChic for something of more quality and a bit more romantic - we were not disappointed.

From the moment we arrived to discuss staying there the staff were brilliant. They were helpful, relaxed and gave us their full attention.

The venue itself is charming, well kept with wonderful details. The furniture, the food and the service are all of top quality. Small things like the way they would refresh your room while you were at dinner and the fresh flowers each day.

For a small boutique hotel the food choices are great and every meal was wonderful.

This place goes the extra mile to make your stay special and it really saved the last week of our honeymoon.

This is a little piece of paradise! AfroChic is undoubtedly the greatest hotel that we have and probably will ever stay in. Not only was this a beautiful setting in which to end our honeymoon but the service that we received was impeccable. We were greeted by first name on every occasion, waited on hand and foot every minute of the day and each staff member did so with a great smile on their face. The food was delicious at every meal, where we were able to order from an expansive menu only for the food to be sourced and then cooked upon order - the freshest restaurant meals we have ever enjoyed... and we certainly did enjoy! This isn't a cheap hotel but it is worth every penny - we will be back!!

If you love seafood, the mixed seafood platter is a must try! We also had the vegetable rolls and the prawn taco was delicious!

An amazing experience in Diani Beach. Afrochic is a small hotel with only 10 rooms, which means it’s far more intimate and personal than many of the larger hotels. We stayed for 5 nights and have to say that this was possibly the best hotel experience we have ever had. Incredible pool and beach with sun beds and cabana’s, the rooms are large and traditional yet also have all of the modern touches you could want, and the staff are extremely attentive and generous. We were treated like royalty, and the a’la carte menu was fantastic. Special thanks to Norman and Ali B who went the extra mile to make our honeymoon stay perfect. Definitely recommend. 5/5.

Currently staying at the afro chic, I'm uncertain where any of the other reviews came from!
The 'executive suite' where we are staying needs a total refurb. The fan in the room is noisy and rusty, the bathroom looks like it hasn't been touched in years and the balcony rail is rickety and wouldn't pass health and safety in most places. The net around the bed has either cigarette or moth holes. Neither appealing.

Very disappointed. We're paying almost $1,000 a night and this is definitely not worth the money.
